London Fire Brigade have committed to working closely with the communities across London to ensure our fire safety message is delivered, so whilst our Education Officers are temporarily unable to visit your school in person, we have instead created three ‘Home Fire Safety videos’, targeting Key Stage 1-2 children for teachers to use in schools.
Our virtual lessons focus on ‘Prevention, Detection & Escape’ from fire in the home, and cover the most common cause of domestic fires, how to prevent a fire, the importance of a working smoke alarm as an early warning device, and how to get out safely if a fire starts. The information children learn in these videos could potentially save lives one day. We would be grateful if you could share this information with your parents and carers through your learning platforms and/or newsletters to enable the children who are learning from home to also benefit.
