Dear Parent/ Carer,
London History Day returns this year on Friday 31st May. English Martyrs will be celebrating with London History Schools Day on Friday 24th May.
Children across London have been asked to come into school on that day dressed as their favourite historic Londoner. This is a fun way for them to connect with and understand our great city and its people.
This year marks 200 years since the birth of Queen Victoria at Kensington palace. The theme this year is community, unity and celebration in support of the Mayor’s London’s open campaign. From singing and dancing to festivals and processions, Londoners have always enjoyed a celebration!
Join us as we celebrate London’s history diversity and get your child involved by helping them to come to school dressed as a historic Londoner or their favourite local hero on this special day.
Below are some examples of who your child could come as:
As always thank you for your continued support.
