Year 2 will be visiting Story world at the Discovery Centre in Stratford, the centre is a purpose-built Story World and Story Garden with creative play spaces designed to inspire children’s curiosity and imagination. Their team of dedicated Story Builders guide the children through the space and encourage them to create their own stories. Please see the link provided for more information, it will be a fun and exciting trip and pupils are looking forward to going.
Year 2 classes will be visiting the Horniman Museum to discover more on animals and their habitats, photos of the trip will be available soon.
2J have been finding out about endangered animals in our Going Green topic. They are using the book ‘The Journey Home’ to find out about animals such as the polar bear whose homes are being destroyed. In our Geography lessons we are researching these animals and finding out what we can do to protect them and their homes.
In Science year 2 have been learning all about Plants. They have been to visit our school garden and have planned some planting to do in the Spring term. We are looking forward to growing different flowers and vegetables.

2J visited the Jamyang Buddhist Temple as part of RE week. We learnt lots about Buddhism and were shown around the temple by Roy, the temple director. We loved smelling the incense and seeing all the amazing statues and art. Thank you to the parents who came and helped us.
2J had their class assembly on Tuesday 21st March. We enjoyed sharing everything we have been learning, we covered different countries from around the world with KS1. Thank you to all the parents who came.’
