NURSERY CLASS

With the return of the warm weather, the children had a go at following a recipe to make home made lemonade.  We talked about the required equipment and ingredients and the instructions we needed to follow. The children had a go at making the drink using motor skills to squeeze lemons and oranges, tear the mint leaves and stir the honey into the mixture. The children then had fun being vendors and customers as they played at the drinks stall, counting out 5 pennies to buy a drink and taking care with the ladles to serve.  The children practiced writing drink stall on their white boards.

Nursery children moving to Reception in September had a very exciting half hour in what will be their new classroom. Some of the children may have remembered playing here at the start of the academic year as Reception and Nursery spent some weeks together before Nursery moved into their own building across the playground.  In order to support them with their transition and the next stage of their educational journey, they will have further opportunities to spend time in their new environment with their new teacher over the remaining weeks.  Children really enjoyed their time exploring and interacting and used lots of language whilst they played.
