When a child is in hospital their family can often be faced with having to travel long distances each day and either pay for costly hotel rooms or sleep on a chair at their bedside. Ronald McDonald House provides families with a comfortable place to stay that’s close to their child, giving them more time and energy to focus on being together. It is always every parent/carers worst fear to have their child unwell and to have a place to stay can help towards easing their concerns and worry.
We invite pupils and staff to join us in wearing their PJ’s on the 8th June and to donate a minimum of £1.00 to this special cause.
Donations will be collected by a member of staff at the gate in the morning. Over the years some of our parents have sadly relied on hospital treatments for their children and knowing how kind and supportive our parents and staff are we would like to offer our support in a way that is fun and effective.
Every little bit helps so on Friday 8th June wear your PJs for the day and give families with children in hospital, one less thing to worry about.
